We are really hoping we can come back one day and see the Northern Lights as unfortunately we were not lucky that time. Our first experience with Nordic Visitor was in 2010 when we did a 14 day driving tour of Norway. We had an amazing time and were very grateful to the wonderful folk who organised it, we felt well supported though we had no problems. We have just had our second experience with Nordic Visitor and this time we really got to know just how well supported we really were.

Our 11 day driving tour of Iceland hit problems when extreme weather meant we were held up in Djupivogur half way around the island. Our representative Bjorg rang us to make sure we knew that it was unsafe to drive any further north and we should wait out the bad weather. We ended up stuck for 3 nights and time constraints meant we did not have time to do the full ring road and needed to retrace our steps and head back to Reykjavic.

She arranged our alternative accommodation and emailed us an updated itinerary. We were thankful to not have any stress to ourselves in this regard.
